Our program is designed to help children around 4 years old. Children develop at different rates, which is why we offer the 1-on-1 Introductory Lesson first, so we can evaluate whether or not they are ready to start.
The short answer is nothing. Both are martial arts styles that use their hands and their feet to strike, kick, and block. The longer answer is that TaeKwonDo is Korean and Karate is Japanese, so each style has its own philosophy and focus.
Yes, it can help kids with ADHD burn off excess energy and learn to focus better and complete tasks with fewer distractions.
Safety is the instructor’s responsibility, not the style. If the instructor prioritizes safety by making drills and exercises age-appropriate, then any style of martial arts is safe.
