What a Free Intro Karate Lesson Actually Looks Like
The free intro karate lesson is thirty minutes, one-on-one with an instructor, and built entirely around your child — a few basics, a lot of encouragement, and zero pressure to perform. Shy kids warm up at their own pace; energetic kids finally have somewhere to aim all that power.
Afterward we answer your questions, recommend the right age group from our kids karate programs, and start your free 14-day trial. Curious what parents ask before booking a free intro karate lesson? Our FAQ covers the big ones, and the American Academy of Pediatrics martial arts guidance is a great outside checklist.
A quick note on timing: intro lessons book by appointment, so afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays are all possible — tell us what your week looks like and we will fit around it. If your child is nervous, mention it; instructors adjust the pace for shy first-timers every single day. And if you are choosing between us and another school, we would rather you try both free intro karate lesson options and pick with confidence. Kids who choose their own activity stick with it longer, and we are happy to earn the choice.
Prefer to see before you decide? Totally reasonable. Ask when you call and we will time your free intro karate lesson so you can watch a regular class first — five minutes of observing usually answers more than any brochure. Parents of children with ADHD, anxiety, or sensory sensitivities: tell us up front. It is common, it is welcome, and instructors would rather prepare for your child than improvise. Every family gets the same promise either way: no contracts discussed, no pressure applied, and no decision needed until your 14 free days are done.

No — whoever handles the calendar is plenty. Grandparents and caregivers are welcome to bring kids too; we just need a parent to complete the trial paperwork once.
