Thinking about black belt?
You do not have to. Not today. Black belt takes a minimum of about three years of steady training, and it is built out of small moments: the first belt test, the first time your child helps a newer student, the first time they stand tall when they would have shrunk a year earlier. Start with the first lesson and let the rest follow.
Optional programs such as leadership training or demo team are separate one-time purchases. They never change your monthly tuition, and nobody is held back for skipping them.
Practical questions, answered up front
How much do kids karate classes cost in Royal Oak?
At Royal Oak Kids Karate, regular tuition is $149 a month for one day a week, $249 for two to three days, and $299 for unlimited. Enroll at the end of the free introductory lesson and each option is $50 a month less: $99, $199, or $249. Your child's first 30 days are free.
Do we need a uniform to start?
No. Comfortable clothes and bare feet are fine for the introductory lesson and the free 30 days. If you enroll, your child's uniform is included with enrollment.
Is there gear to buy?
Nothing during the free month. Sparring gear comes later, once your child is at a level where they use it, and we discuss it with you before then.
What about belt testing fees?
Testing costs and timing are explained before you enroll, so there are no surprises later.
What happens if we miss a few weeks?
Memberships are not paused, but extended time away can be added to the end of the agreement so your child still gets every class you paid for. Illness, vacations, and busy school seasons are normal.
How do billing and cancellation work?
Agreement, billing, and cancellation are all reviewed with you in person before you sign anything.
